Month: August, 2008

A certain place is treating certain people as second class citizens…reminds me of a certain someone…called HITLER!

But in Hitler’s defence Germany were writing up a list of all the Jews during WW1, before Hitler was in power…he was but a pawn. Or perhaps bigger than a pawn - maybe a bishop or a horsey.

Anyway, so back in school on Monday…not to bothered really - looking forward to meeting the new people but dreading all the year 7s. Over 100 of the little arse holes…someone said we’re having lunch time lessons to make up for it but tbh if we are they can feck off because it’s not our fault they choose candidates with a parental jew test…

Also, seems that I’ve had 38,000 hits on this site since March so says Andrew - I’m pleasantly surprised but how many people think ‘Oh I know let’s type in something random…cats…flying….flying….cat…er….OH FLYINGCAT’ into Google? Good on you like though cause you come here! :D

When I reach 40,000 I might make one of those pictures people do when they get so many hits with ‘THANK YOU 40,000 HITS!’ on it.

T’all depends on my ever changing mood though really…

GCSE results!

21 August, 2008 (15:22) | Sandra

Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted or did better than they expected! :D

Here are my results:

Art & Design - B
Biololgy          - A
Chemistry     - A
Physics          - A (phew!)
English Lang - A
English Lit     - A
Georgraphy  - A* (I wouldn’t have expected any less!)
German         - B
ICT                 - A*
Maths            - A* (Well bugger me silly! I never saw THAT one coming :D)
RE                  - B

I am pleasantly surprised with how everything has turned out. I never thought I would actually not do good on the whole - but I was genuinly expecting worse in a few of the exams. The majority though I didn’t really think about properly - but I expected a fair few As… :)

I find it funny though that lots of people with Miss Needham - the good RE teacher who taught her kids and made them work - got Cs because they did bad in the jew exam, while a fair few of us who had Mr Shaw - the religious maniac dwarf who got sacked for his offensive beliefs - and Mrs “it’s on da boeaaared” Green who pottered about in her corner - got As and Bs. Just shows who knows how to teach and who doesn’t eh!? Great system.

The biggest shock with all of this was the A* in maths. Out of all 11 subjects - maths was the only one where my target wasn’t an A*. I never once for a second thought I would get an A* in it but I’m so glad I did, because lots of people find maths hard and cause I beat the brainiest one in the family - Eleanor. She got a C at maths (full marks in everything else probably though) so when she text me before she said, “I never expected someone in my family to do that well in maths!”

I’ve been told to try and get the art remarked. I probably will cause I put so much effort in and I don’t want to let the opportunity pass me by. Yeah I know, it’s art so who cares? and I’m not unhappy with a B even though I thought I would be - but if everyone else is doing it I might as well too.

And you read your Emily Dickinson and I my Robert Frost…

^ Amazing song

Anyway, Yorkshire was fun except one of the dogs (Arla) ran out at about 10PM and, being the bloody countryside, it was too dark to see where she’d gone. I saw a moving shape in an open delapidated barn thing across the road though which was her, so I went out to pull her back. It was okay until I stood on a metal bar thing, which hit the floor and went KERBOOSH CLANG CLANG all over the place, probably waking people in the other 14 houses in the village up. I tried to move somewhere else but the same thing happened. In the morning when I could see, I realsied I’d been walking in the spaces of a fallen and bent metal gate/fence thing and got about half way before even realising. After a few attempts I managed to stumble out and grab the dog though so it was alright in the end.

Hmm…so it’s 2 days til results day. I’m not confident at all, but I’m not nervous either…just wondering how I’m going to react when I open the sheet and see all these letters in front of me. I won’t be able to match them up to the right subjects at first I bet.

Ah well, I’m not that fussed on what I get overall - except for geography. If I don’t get an A* I’ll be ashamed - and I’m not being big headed, lots of other people feel the same. I mean…it’s geography. I can’t explain any further than that.

But yeah…I think the only thing about them that’s worrying me at the moment is whether to ask mum & dad “So how much money are you giving me?” because mum will call me cheeky and so on etc.

Maybe I should just wait to see what I get in the exams, and what she offers me…it’ll all work out on it’s own I guess.

Going to Yorkshire tomorrow

If you don’t already know, we helped to rehome a dog called Henry a few weeks ago. He is bloody gorgeous - a setter boarder collie mix and really friendly. He was Kassy’s housemate’s sister’s dog (wew) but she had to get rid of him and had left him with Kassy. Her (the sister’s) boyfriend has teased him a lot so he doesn’t like men much - but he was fine with my dad (kept humping him actually) until his new owner (my mum’s friend) came back with her other dog Arla.

The two of them hit it off brilliantly - plus she’s the kind of dog that won’t take any shit so when he tried to hump her face she snarled him. :) Thata girl!

Anyway, he’s living in the Yorkshire countryside now so we’re going back to visit him and mum’s friend. I hope he remembers me because the first time he meets a person he goes mental and screams like a banshie. I was actually scared when we first saw him in Kassy’s but after 10 minutes he calmed down a lot and was really affectionate.

Henry

D’aww!

Also, it is now 10/9 days until the GCSE results are released! Many people are nervous, scared, worried and suffering from many other forms of anxiety…while I just feel indifferent.

At least that shows I cope well with stressful situations, but tbh I’ve had enough of them to last me a lifetime.
