Month: July, 2008

My journey this week has been a learning experience; a real rollercoaster of emotions…

I just found out from the woman next door that you can get into her attic via our eaves! Naturally, I want to try crawling through (she said I could) but I’m not sure which way to go. Our eaves entrance is a cupboard in my room, but I get the feeling you don’t get in through there - me suspects it’s the one with the water tank at the entrance (on the attic landing next to my door). I don’t quite fancy crawling through that since I’ll have to move a bookcase and no one’s been in that part of the attic for a long time - possibley never.

What kind of dust and creatures will I encounter? I can hear the birds in the eaves flapping about all the time! The baby ones wake me up with all their squawking and I have to smack the wall to shut them up when I’m sleeping, and I swear that if I opened the door they would fly out so what if I crawl in a nest or come across skeletons!? The back of our kitchen cabnits aren’t that dusty and there are spider skeletons hanging at the back of them (not in the actual cupboards but they are open at the top exposing the wall and the spiders are there).

I live in such filth.

Bastards!

:@:@:@:@:@:@ KDHS IS SUCH A MONGY PLACE! ‘You should be greatful that you’re getting such a good education and that you’re not in St. Julies’ my ARSE. Teachers are dropping/leaving/being sacked all the time and the last 3 months of R.E was just sitting off. Mrs Green didn’t even try. (though tbh who’s arsed about R.E anyway?)

Okay, so St Julies is weird and has that bitch sister Anne Marie but like…KDHS…the governers are all up their own arses!

Education reporter Ben Turner says . .

A SCHOOL hopes to be the first in Liverpool to ban packed lunches to ensure pupils eat better food.

King David primary in Childwall wants to take the step because some children’s lunch boxes arrive packed with unhealthy snacks, including doughnuts.

Staff admit the move is “controversial” but say it is part of a drive to make sure youngsters at the Jewish school eat a balanced diet.

The rule is likely to come into force in 2010, when the primary school and kindergarten move into a £24m superschool on a neighbouring site with King David high.

The new premises would include one of the country’s largest kosher kitchens, capable of preparing more than 1,200 nutritious meals, ranging from sushi to sandwiches, every day.

The kitchens would follow strict kosher guidelines, so meat and dairy products would be prepared and served in different areas.

Lauren Lesin-Davis, chairwoman of governors, said: “It is controversial, but as a school, we want to get our meals right.

“We are amazed at what we find in children’s lunch boxes. Some even come in with doughnuts.”

She said she was “confident” parents would support the move, which is designed to tackle obesity and improve pupils’ performance in class.

The school charges about £1.85 per meal and does not envisage any significant rise in the future. Pupils will not be forced to eat school meals, and parents will be allowed to take their children home to eat at lunchtimes if they choose.

Recent figures showed 20.7% of boys and 14.8% of girls in Liverpool are obese by the time they are 11.

King David primary’s plans were today backed by the Child Growth Foundation, an obesity prevention charity. Chairman Tam Fry said: “If parents send in rubbish in lunch boxes, then the school has got to ban them.”

King David primary’s plans were unveiled ahead of a visit from School Food Trust chairwoman Prue Leith tomorrow.

Unhealthy food as if - they’re just scared of kids bringing in ham. And serving sushi? I can’t see that happening it’ll probably be rice wrapped in lettuce. A regular ‘meal’ in our canteen is a plate of pasta…nothing else just pasta. I’ve seen kids buying little packets of ketchup just to add some flavour to it.

THAT’S SOOOOO HEALTHY WELL DONE KDHS!

Also, we’re not all jews we can’t afford to buy our lunch everyday (at least the fat but poor kids will lose weight). I was actually offended (and not mock offended) in year 7 when Mr Barton went on about how we’re all well off because he’d seen us being “dropped off in our mercedes.” At the time we were still paying for the morgage on the house (took about 13 years to pay off), my dad, who had been on sick leave from work for a year and a half, had to retire and our car was a second hand 2 door polo that stank of vomit we inherited when my nan died. Woah, we were REALLY in the money…

But saying all this I like the sixth form department and have faith in it for next term.

Jeremy Kyle is such a prat

He reminds me of that bastard on talk sport who cuts people off and abuses them if they disagree with him. He’s worse than Pete Price (but our Pete is awesome cause he’s funny).

Anyway, my sims obsession which has lasted er…5 days overall ish since I went on holiday in between is slowly dying away, but I bought some expansion packs from amazon so when they come God knows what I’ll be like.

Argh as I’m trying to write this Jeremy Kyle’s show is just totally pissing me off even though he’s not the one talking (surprisingly). ¬_¬

Germany & Counting Crows!!!

9 July, 2008 (15:26) | Sandra

Went to Germany on the 2nd with Kassy to visit Eleanor. I was gonna post before I went but frankly I couldn’t be arsed, but now you know.

Twas a nice holiday, but some of the days were too bloody hot for my liking. Throughout the course of the holiday we watched 1 and a half series of Kath & Kim (it’s hilarious), upset a gay shop owner (he was a freak), went swimming in a huge lake, shopped and near the start Kassy almost stood on a dead pigeon.

etc etc.

We got back yesterday afternoon - the flight was alright but I had a banging headache. Thankfully it went away though, which was good since we then went to a Counting Crows gig last night. :D It was awesome, they played most of my favourite songs (afterwards though I was looking through them on the computer and thinking ‘aww why didn’t they play that one too!?’ but oh well).

Kassy was especially made up since last time (that she knows of) they were in England she had her GCSEs so mum wouldn’t let her go. Poor thing had been waiting 8 years!

that was in John Lennon airport, you’ve got to love it.
